Terms and Conditions of Hire


1. Tours are to be paid in full at time of booking. Confirmation of booked tour will be made on receipt of full payment for tour.

2. Wedding and special occasions hire date and times will be confirmed in writing and on receipt of a 25% deposit.

3. The balance of the full payment for weddings and special occasions must be received no later than 30 days before the booked date.

4. Wedding and special occasion hire with less than 30 days notice will be accepted and confirmed on full payment for the hire period.

5. Full payment for tours will be accepted in cash, direct deposit (no later 48 hours prior to the tour) and cheque with no later than 7 days prior to the tour

6. Payment options for wedding and special occasion hire will be accepted in cash, cheque or direct deposit

7. In the event of a cancellation after full payment has been received, the payment is forfeited. However, at the discretion of Classic Car Tours & Hire consideration may be given to a refund less the 25% deposit in exceptional circumstances such as a bereavement.

8. Short notice bookings can be made, dependent upon the vehicle being available and payment being made immediately in cash or direct deposit.

9. Classic Car Tours & Hire cannot accept responsibility for adverse weather conditions, or other events that may impact adversely upon the hire period. Should Classic Car Tours & Hire deem that it is not safe to proceed with a tour because of such events an alternate date and time will be offered. Should this optional date not be acceptable a refund of the tour cost less 25% will be made.

10. Our vehicle is maintained to the highest possible mechanical condition as required by Transport Operator Accreditation. However, in the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown or accident to the vehicle, Classic Car Tours & Hire will provide another vehicle (other than a Mustang) so that the journey can continue. A full or partial refund may be considered dependent on the timing of the breakdown or accident. Any such refund will be entirely at the discretion of Mustang Tours and Hire.

11. Tasmanian legislation prohibits the consumption of alcohol in vehicles or smoking in Public Transport Vehicles.

12. Classic Car Tours & Hire reserve the right to refuse to carry any person or persons deemed unfit by the driver, for whatsoever reason. Should passenger/s be refused entry to the vehicle or should the driver have cause to refuse to continue the journey, no refund of monies paid will be given.

13. Hire time for tours commences at time of pick up at accommodation or pre-arranged pick up point and concluded at pre-arranged drop of point.

14. Hire time for weddings and special occasions commences at the time of the pre-arranged first pick up and concludes at the time of the pre-arranged last drop off. Time in excess of the booked time is charged at the agreed rate and paid in cash to the driver on the day.

15. Advertised hire charges for weddings and special occasions apply to the Derwent Valley and Hobart Metropolitan area. Bookings outside of these areas are charged at an agreed rate in addition to the standard rate.

16. Classic Car Tours & Hire operates every day except Christmas Day.
